How to Celebrate Bastille Day in Dallas!
Oui, oui, Bastille Day is this Sunday, July 14th! Bastille Day is the French National Holiday that celebrates the storming of the Bastille, which encouraged the French Revolution. Many French restaurants and retailers in Dallas host celebrations in honor of the holiday! The most popular party is Bastille on Bishop, an annual festival celebrating Oak Cliff’s French roots.
All that’s missing from this guide to Bastille Day in Dallas is you, outfitted in stripes and a beret!
BASTILLE ON BISHOP
Bastille on Bishop is an annual festival in Bishop Arts District — and largest Bastille Day party in Dallas! Taking place this Sunday from 5-11 pm, you’re welcome to roam the neighborhood for free and purchase whatever you’d like to eat, drink and shop! The streets will be full of vendors popping up for the occasion as well as live music.
For a $25 ticket, you can purchase a wine glass and two tokens, which can be redeemed for either beverages or food. Most food and cocktails, beer, and wine require 1 token. Be sure to purchase your ticket online in-advance because from experience, we know that they sell out!

REVELERS HALL’S VIP PARTY
Revelers Hall is jazzing up Bastille on Bishop by hosting a VIP Party from 6-9 pm! You can get out of the sun (and the crowds) and enjoy live music, a crêpe stand, libations, and snacks inside.
A VIP ticket is $80 and includes 3 complimentary drinks, complimentary snacks (crêpes + treats, both savory and sweet!), live show, and access to Revelers Hall's restrooms (#worthit). You’ll be able to come-and-go as you’d like too, so you can still roam around Bastille on Bishop!

french room BASTILLE DAY BRUNCH
The French Room at The Adolphus is hosting a Bastille Day Brunch, starring special host Steve Kemble! Expect live music, a three course prix fixe brunch menu, champagne and revelry.
You’ll have three choices per course with the prix fixe menu, and knowing The French Room, the food and service will be excellent. Plus, they’ll feature “La Liberté” Cocktail” with Grand Marnier, Amaretto, Lemon Juice and Champagne! It is $80 per person and reservations are strongly encouraged.

BASTILLE + BUBBLES at uchi
Uchi might not be the obvious choice for celebrating Bastille Day, but the Chef Alex has partnered with Ruinart, the founding house of Champagne, to create a 6-course dinner that comes with a healthy dose of learning from Champagne Specialist Merideth Gray.
Tickets for the dinner are $195 per person plus tax + gratuity. Guests interested in attending should email the events manager, Johnny, to secure seats at firstname.lastname@example.org.

BASTILLE DAY AT MERCAT bistro
Mercat Bistro in the Harwood District is a perfect place to dine on Bastille Day! We’d call Mercat romantic and intimate; however, going for brunch would be great with a group of friends!
The croque madame sandwich is the best we’ve had in Dallas. The pastries are all freshly-made, and the strawberry and marscapone crepe is a “classique.” If you can’t make it for Bastille Day, it’s a delight to go anytime and enjoy their French cuisine.

BASTILLE DAY AT LEGACY HALL
Legacy Food Hall in Plano is promising to be a Parisian Paradise on Bastille Day! Enjoy a build-your-own mimosa bar, live French music, Eiffel Tower photo booth, champagne and macaron tastings, a roaming accordion player, mime, and can-can dance act! Of course, all the amazing restaurants in the Food Hall will be open, including our favorite (and French!), Whisk & Eggs!
