IN THE HEIGHTS

If you liked Hamilton, well this is another Lin-Manuel Miranda play, which won the Tony for Best Musical in 2008. Set in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – “a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music.” Latin rhythms, hip-hop and pop combine for an exhilarating journey about chasing your dreams and what it truly means to be home.

P.S. Join us for a drink with the cast at hosted by yours truly following the October 4th performance of In The Heights! More details coming soon!

Ann

A no-holds-barred portrait of the legendary Texas Governor, Ann Richards. The play centers around her legacy and “determination for making a mark on this world,” and acts as a “captivating tribute to Richards’ life as an activist, politician and feminist champion.” And if you haven’t yet heard of her - this is your perfect chance to learn a bit of Texas political history!

A CHRISTMAS CAROL

We aren’t sure this play needs much introduction - this classic Christmas story will come to life once again during the holidays and act as the perfect family outing. “Brimming with joyful songs, magical spirits, and holiday cheer, Dallas Theater Center’s A Christmas Carol boldly reimagines Dickens’ classic tale of joy, redemption, and the spirit of Christmas.” Who is ready to make plans to see Scrooge?!

This class story will come to life, both on the big screen and in our own backyards at the Kalita Humphreys Theater next year. It will be timely with so much emphasis in our society right now on gender roles, politics and identities. And “acclaimed playwright Kate Hamill (Sense and Sensibility) returns to Dallas Theater Center with a new examination of this classic novel.”

P.S. Get ready for a pre-party hosted by yours truly before one evening of the Little Women performance! Details TBA
