Mutt’s cantina

This is probably a given, but you can’t deny how fun and amazing Mutt’s Cantina is! This Uptown dog park is 1/2 adult fun and 1/2 dog fun, filled with a bar, TVs, and great food and drink menu, and then two dog parks, one for the big guys and another for the little guys. You can grab a marg and burger and mix and mingle with other dog owners, while your pup plays off leash and makes some friends of his/her own! A day pass costs $7, a monthly pass $16, or yearly, $150. And make sure to follow them on IG because they throw some super fun events throughout the year for both you and your dog!

The new residential and retail space, the Shacks at Austin Ranch, offers plenty of amenities from seven different restaurants to live entertainment to community events and more! And also offers a beautiful dog park called Bacon’s where your dogs can run around off-leash in either a big or small-dog area filled with benches and play structures. Monthly memberships cost $15 and yearly memberships cost $125, or you can gain access through purchasing a meal at a surrounding member. OR you get free access if you live at one of the three apartment communities!

You wouldn’t be able to tell from the photo, but this off-leash dog park is 22 acres large! We will repeat, 22 acres! It’s the largest of its kind in North Texas, and includes a pond, a dog beach, a 6 foot wide loop trail, a pavilion and a doggy shower, and lots more! It’s maybe the most decked out, luxurious and TEXAS dog park you can expect! Because everything is bigger in Texas!

If your dog wants to cool off and play in water, look no further than White Rock Lake! The 3-acre off-leash dog park, is located on the northwest side of White Rock Lake Park and includes areas for both big and small dogs, dog washes, benches and shade and more! It’s really great if you’re planning to take your doggo with you on your waking, running, biking or hiking adventure around the White Rock area! They can cool off and meet some friends afterwards! If you live in the Victory Park/Uptown/Downtown area, Klyde Warren is a great resource for you as a dog owner, beyond it’s live music, rotating events, free fitness and food trucks, because they have an adorable and FREE dog park! It’s a really well manicured space and while not huge, aka don’t bring your pup if he’s ready to run a few miles, is a really great resource for the area and has some cute features and a fountain!

While we have heard mixed things about this park - people seem to either love or hate it, it makes it great for people who live in Deep Ellum! This grungy underpass dog park features 1.2 acres of running space, a dog bath, benches and more! And you will get that Deep Ellum mural art surrounding you so the atmosphere of the neighborhood even extends to the dog park! The downside? We have heard its a bit muddy, and if your little dog doesn’t like big dogs, well then there’s no separation, so tread with caution!

If dog parks could have speakeasies, this would be it. This super hidden, off-the-beaten path dog park lies in the backyard of Central Christian Church in West Highland Park, so perfect if you live in the Oak Lawn or Highland Park neighborhoods! It’s no frills, and very basic with wood chips and lawn chairs acting as decor. BUT the space is HUGE, there’s never many people there, and there’s a really nice complimentary dog wash! And it’s free to hang at!

This huge baseball field-esque dog park is huge and offers ample grass for your furry friends to run around until they can’t anymore. There’s both small and big dog areas along with shade, benches and water throughout! It’s pretty much as simple as that! So head there and let your doggo run free!
