The wait is over... after months of anticipation, this Nashville hotspot, Hattie B's, has made its lone star state debut right here in Dallas with bone-in chicken, tenders, tasty sides, craft cocktails and a new Dallas-only menu item!
Updated March 2022
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken opened its first location in Nashville, aka the birthplace of hot chicken. Co-founders and father-son duo, Nick Bishop Sr. and Jr., founded Hattie B’s in 2012 after years in the restaurant industry, naming it after their family matriarch and beloved grandmother! Fast forward 10 years and they are now working on opening their 10th location! The Dallas location was set to open in 2021 but kept getting pushed back, now the bird has landed!
EATS & DRINKS
Their menu covers a wide span of southern favorites like 1/2 bird plates, bone-in pieces, tenders, sandwiches and more! Each bird gets a cayenne bath and then is spiced according to their scale that ranges from Southern (no spice) to Shut the Cluck Up (serious heat) served on a slice of white bread and pickles to help cut the heat! They created a Dallas-only fried pickles plate topped with signature Hattie B’s spices, which sells out quickly! They’ll be expanding their drink menu with Southern cocktails, like the Shack Water, which is a ranch water with gin and their hot chicken and pickle infused bloody mary!
Fun fact: you can add Belgian waffles and syrup to any plate and make your own chicken & waffles!
SPACE
This fast casual spot is a family friendly vibe with ample seating and bumpin’ tunes! Their indoor seating area fits nearly 100 + 1000 square foot patio to enjoy as we head into spring and summer! One thing we really loved about dining in was how attentive + customer service oriented the staff is, even for a fast casual spot, checking on everything throughout your meal! You can find Hattie B’s located at Walton + Main in Deep Ellum and they’re open everyday for lunch and dinner, and Sunday from 11am-4pm!
