Until recently, we had never heard of Birria, and now it is popping up everywhere! Birria is a traditionally Mexican stew made from goat, beef or lamb and slow cooked in a broth with vinegar, herbs and spices. It can be served as a taco, with the consommé, aka broth, served on the side to dip. Check out the places below and explore the world of Birria!

VAQUEROS TEXAS BAR-B-Q
The BBQ Birria with consomé has become all the rage as it was featured on the Cooking Channel's Man Fire Food and Man's Greatest Food, which named it #14 on their list of greatest cheesy dishes in the USA. They have also been listed as a top 20 bite of 2020 by Texas Monthly, and they're about to be international. We haven't been yet, but we've been told it's a must, and it sounds like it based on the raving reviews!

At Fridas Tacos, you can get tacos with birria on the side, a birria sandwich or flautas birria. It's a great place to visit for your first time trying birria, since they have it in three different forms. The prices on these plates range from $9-$12, and they all look delicious!
