I’m sure you’ve heard of Tumble 22-  the Nashville hot chicken food trailer turned storefront! They have got a spicy deal for you all on 2/22 - so if you haven’t tried it, now is your time! If you aren’t convinced yet, we are breaking down all the mouth watering details below!

Updated February 2022

Known for their tasty chicken and the way they cook it. Committed to all-natural, Texas-raised chicken that’s hand-breaded and tumbled 22 times for the perfect crunch (hence the name)! This Nashville inspired chicken joint has made a mark in Austin with the help of one of the best chefs in Texas, Chef Marmulstein!

THE SPACE

There are 5 locations spread throughout the city and beyond, but we went to our local Lake Austin Blvd Tumble. Home to Austin’s infamous Magnolia cafe! Despite the brief sadness, this hot chicken gem has done this space justice by staying true to the original building with the mural on the back wall, yet reinventing the space with bright, modern colors and atmosphere. Plus, large outdoor dining spaces both in the front (covered) and back and 2 indoor spaces with booth seating!

THE MENU

The chicken is fried and coated in Chef M’s own secret blend of spices coming in 6 heat levels from “Wimpy” to “Stupid Hot”! For starters, they are known for their Deviled Eggs and Pickle Fries so naturally we opted for both! They serve Bone-In Chicken Platters, Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken Bites, Tenders, and your choice of sides featuring Potato Salad, BBQ Beans, Slaw, Mac-N-Cheese, and Fries!

We tried the 1/4 White Bone-In Chicken + The OG Chicken Sandwich and split sides of Fries and Mac-N-Cheese! The Mac has a little kick of Pepper Jack cheese and the spiced chicken was unbelievably fresh! Also, we made the mistake by not leaving room for dessert because the pies look to die for!

DRINKS & MORE

While chicken is the star of the show, they have a large adult beverage menu with “Cheap Stiff Drinks” as they like to call it! Palomas, Margs, Bloody Mary’s, and Beer! Also, Saturday and Sunday stop in for $5 dollar Mimosas and Screwdrivers!
