Salon Series: Texas or Bust

For the sixth Salon at The Adolphus, two writers describe various views of the Texan landscape, both architectural and quotidian, a major theme within the collection of the French Room Salon's art collection.

Mark Lamster, Dallas Morning News architecture critic and author of The Man in the Glass House, the highly acclaimed recent biography of architect Philip Johnson, will read and discuss a selection from the book on Johnson's wildly divergent buildings in Dallas. Dallas-native, novelist and essayist, David Searcy, will read from and expound upon Shame and Wonder, his beautiful collection of essays on memory, science, and everyday Texan life.

Admission is free however seating is limited. Refreshments will be served.

Valet parking is complimentary.
