Just off the square in Historic Downtown Mckinney, say hello to Bresnan Bread And Pastry, an adorable, new grab-and-go bakery with artisan breads and pastries made fresh daily! And you might recognize their yummy goods because they’re offered at several Dallas spots like Fount Board And Table!
Husband and wife duo, Matt and Jenna Bresnan have lived in Mckinney for seven years and have been baking since 2020! After launching solely online and baking out of kitchens across Dallas, the Bresnans finally opened their brick and mortar store in Downtown Mckinney earlier this month! They wanted to bring a neighborhood bakery to the charming square, where people could stop in for fresh and flavorful baked goods! P.S. they were voted “best bakery for bread” by D Magazine in 2021, so swing by this adorable bakery and check them out!
The freshly baked bread and pastries at Bresnan are on a weekly rotation ranging from sourdough bread loaves to sweet danishes! Their loaves are made from hand-mixed dough and are fermented over long periods of time. They are most known for their orange-cardamom morning buns and their classic country sourdough, but you can't forget their delicious kouign amann or their sour cream coffee cake with Texas pecan streusel! Their display case is packed with a wide array of stunning baked goods, like cookies, croissants, and danishes! Pair them with one of their craft coffee sips!

This charming bake shop sits inside a red brick storefront that reflects all the character from Downtown Mckinney! The entire space is filled with the mouth-watering smells of freshly baked bread and pastries. It's a grab-and-go spot, so they don’t currently have seating, but feel free to get your baked goodies and enjoy them as you walk around the square or enjoy them at home with the fam. They are currently open Thursday - Saturday from 7 AM - 2 PM, or if you really want to secure the bag, their pre-order menu opens 8 AM on Monday with pickup on Saturday from 9-11 AM!
