VISITING DALLAS, TX

The third largest city in Texas (and if you ask us, the best), Dallas is a city with a vast history, iconic skyline, and sprawling DFW metroplex. It's home to the beloved Dallas Cowboys, the largest Arts District in the country, amazing weather and so much more. There's no shortage of things to do and see or eat and drink, so explore the below to plan your epic trip to Dallas!

WHEN TO VISIT

WINTER

Winter in Dallas is truly magical, from carriage rides through Highland Park to the Texas-sized Christmas tree at Klyde Warren. Spend some time in Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas, experience indoor snow & ice skating at The Galleria, or go sledding & see hundreds of ice sculptures at the Gaylord Texan! The season also brings our Annual Dallasites101 Naughty or Nice Bar Crawl, a must-do if you’re in town!

SUMMER

With triple-digit temperatures the norm, Texas Summers are famously hot but also famously fun if you know the right places to go! If you’re looking to soak up the sun, take a dip in the Texas-shaped pool or head to White Rock Lake for kayaking and paddleboarding. If you’d rather enjoy the air-conditioning, explore a museum or catch a Texas Rangers Game under Globe Life Field’s retractable roof. Our go is to sip margaritas on a patio that has misters

SPRING

The city comes alive in the spring, with the sun shining and flowers blooming! Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower & begin to pop up everywhere around town. Enjoy the milder temps on a patio, or take a walk on the iconic Katy Trail, experience the largest floral festival in the Southwest, Dallas Blooms at the Arboretum, or if you’re visiting in March, you can’t miss 40+ year old St. Patrick’s Day on Lower Greenville!

FALL

Cooler temperatures bring a fantastic time to visit Dallas! The State Fair of Texas is the highlight of the season with hundreds of fried foods and rides to try, or wander the a local pumpkin patch, spend a rainy day doing something fun indoors, catch your NFL team's game at a local watering hole, or try some fun fall-themed cocktails. Around Halloween we have tons of family friendly events & fests around the city & 21 and up parties too!
