Earlier this year, we announced that Thai favorite Ka Thai, had moved up McKinney to the Uptown neighborhood, in a bright, boho space! Some of y’all asked us what would come of the original location and now we have an answer for you!

Say hello to Cielo Wellness Cafe!

Cielo JUST soft opened this week, and is pegged as an all day *healthy* cafe that serves organic, gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free options, on top of no processed foods! And it’s an AAPI female owned spot!

THE SPACE

The baby blue umbrellas will surely catch your eye…the entire patio is adorable and reminiscent of a beach resort meets French bistro. Step inside for a paradise of neutral colors and boho details. Wicker chairs, woven art pieces and hints of tropical greenery make the cafe warm and inviting.

The former Ka Thai space definitely was given a facelift and it matches the new Ka Thai’s bohemian atmosphere perfectly!

To drink, here’s a menu of traditional coffee drinks and five housemade flavors to pair like a mint or lavender, all made with palm sugar. Four smoothies are coming soon, and to eat, you can enjoy one of three scrambles: a vegan hash, or protein or veggie scramble. If a toast suites you better, try the avocado served with lemon zest and pistachio, or the honey ricotta served with banana and Meyer lemon.

If you you’re noticing a trend - the menu pairs some really interesting flavors together and surprisingly, the banana and lemon worked so well!

Based on availability, you also may be able to enjoy a list of power bowls and wraps - we’ll be keeping our eye out for the French Curry Bowl with Butternut Squash, Baby Kale, Tomato, Wild Honey Yogurt, Mint and Fresno Peppers!
