Dallas has a new grab-and-go gem, and it already feels like a neighborhood fave. Originally from Houston’s River Oaks, The Cottage Grocery has officially opened in Highland Park, bringing freshly-made meals, pastries, and a cozy café menu to McKinney Ave.

THE COTTAGE GROCERY

For 25 years, The Cottage has been known for its scratch-made meals, daily baked goods, and a pantry of “better than homemade” staples. Every dish comes from recipes developed by founder Julie Rhyne, and nothing sits longer than seven days, even in the freezer case. Some dishes (like their famous chicken salad) are made multiple times a day because they sell out so quickly! And we can confirm, their chicken salad is incredible!

WHAT YOU’LL FIND

Expect all kinds of options like breakfast tacos, handmade pastries, soups, casseroles, salads, breads, and ready-to-heat meals…all prepared in-house with high-quality ingredients. Plus, it’s a great spot to drop in to grab a coffee or a matcha!

P.S. It’s not remote-work friendly! There are no outlets, and they intentionally market themselves as a place to unplug and connect with your people.
