Calling all fried chicken lovers! With four spice levels, retro artwork, Instagrammable photo moments, and really good frozen Margs, Lucky's Hot Chicken is a super fun local spot for Nashville hot chicken!

Updated April 2021

Lucky’s joined Dallas in September 2020 in a super cool futuristic 50’s esque space. Red and white umbrellas added to the adorable aesthetic, but the delicious hot chicken has kept us coming back. The restaurant is part of the Vandelay Hospatality group, which also owns Hudson House, East Hampton, and Drake's!

Food

If you weren't already, prepare to get your hands dirty eating some hot chicken! Order a plate of tenders or nuggets or try the Big Low with slaw, pickles, cheese, and sauce. You can also order red velvet chicken and waffle or a series of sides including Mac n cheese, fries or slaws! The menu is easy, and the hardest part will be choosing your spice level!

Heat Levels

Try Kinda Lucky (basic Southern), Feelin’ Lucky (mild), Lucky AF (really hot) or Best of Luck (we warned you). The mild was just right for us... we really will caution against anything spicer if you aren’t prepared!

Locations

And Lucky’s now has a second spot in less than a year, located right across from SMU! Stop by and try their chicken and don’t miss out on their frozen Margs too, which are a nodd to Diggs, the restaurant that used to occupy the space! They pair perfectly with the spicy chicken tenders.
