The wait is officially over. Universal Kids Resort has announced its grand opening date of July 1, 2026, in Frisco, Texas. This is Universal Destinations & Experiences' first-ever theme park designed specifically for families with young children, and it's located right in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Tickets: On sale now, starting at $54.99. Prices vary by date, with one-day and multi-day pass options available. Special rates are offered for Frisco residents.

The Resort Hotel: The park is paired with a 300-room themed hotel, so families can stay right in the heart of the experience.

The Concept: Everything in the park is scaled specifically for preschoolers and young children — from ride heights to interactive play areas.

Location: Off the Dallas North Tollway at Panther Creek Parkway in Frisco.

 

All 7 Themed Lands at Universal Kids Resort

The park is built around the beloved worlds of DreamWorks and Illumination, with seven themed lands to explore:

Shrek's Swamp — Step into the Far Far Away world with Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona in a swamp-themed play area.

Bikini Bottom — Join SpongeBob SquarePants and friends in a vibrant, underwater-themed land filled with interactive fun.

TrollsFest — A colorful, high-energy world inspired by the Trolls franchise, featuring upbeat music and whimsical play spaces.

Minions vs Minions — Get ready for mayhem with Gru and his Minions in a high-tech, mischievous play zone.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous — A prehistoric playground where little explorers can interact with dinosaurs in a safe, scaled-down environment.

Puss in Boots Del Mar — Join Mama Luna and Perrito for feline festivities including a giant swing attraction, an interactive puppet show, and carnival games.

Isle of Curiosity — The first land guests encounter, featuring wide open spaces and tons of room for kids to freely explore.
