The Yard Milkshake Bar opened in 2017 by husband and wife duo, Logan and Chelsea Green, in their home town of Gulf Shores, Alabama! They wanted to open a sweet shop unlike anything else, and they succeeded! After an appearance on Shark Tank, their business grew rapidly and now features 15+ locations across the country including two Texas locations, one in Austin and now one in The Colony! These creative concoctions are definitely worth the drive!
Specialty sweets make up most of the menu with over 35 ice cream flavors and six edible cookie dough available in scoops, pops, and pints to match! We tried the Cookie Monster, which is cookie monster ice cream with a cookie dough sandwich and Cookie Crisp cereal served in a chocolate iced jar with a Cookie Crisp rim topped with whipped cream and chocolate and marshmallow drizzle! Their attention to detail is what sets these desserts apart, and each milkshake or sundae is served in a souvenir mason jar that you can take home! Apart from their milkshakes, they also serve edible cookie dough and ice cream sundaes in an array of flavors. Also find gluten-free and vegan friendly variations of these outrageous desserts!
THE SPACE
When you walk in, you’re greeted by the decadent smell of baked cookies and ice cream, so if you weren’t already craving something sweet, you will be! There's plenty of seating both inside and on the covered patio to treat yourself to a milkshake or bring the crew for a treat! They have a cute, kiosk-style sign with their name lit up for Insta pics, and all of their flavors are displayed on screens with photos to help you decide your dessert!
