TEMAKERIA

Brought to us by the husband and wife duo behind Trinity Groves development comes a truly unique new establishment to the Dallas area. Step into what feels like an untouched coloring book and get ready for a wild sensory dining experience!

The name Temakeria comes from the combination of “temaki”, the word for hand roll in Japanese, and “taqueria”, with the idea being to enjoy taco shaped hand rolls the way you would in a taqueria!

2D ART

Every inch of the 1,694 square foot restaurant is hand-drawn by local artist Jonathan Krown Art and looks and feels like you’re dining inside someone’s 2-dimensional home, with 2D windows, shelves, a fireplace, fish tank, and even a 2D rendition of the stunning Dallas skyline! The attention to detail is truly incredible, even the floor and thermostat look 2 dimensional! When you go see if you can spot all the fun little details too like the pair of cowboy boots!

MENU

The attention to detail doesn’t stop at the decor, on the menu you’ll find incredible fresh dishes like sushi, hand rolls, sashimi, poke nachos, and more - the holder the hand rolls come in even matches the 2D art! There will also be vegan options on the menu like a veggie temaki which was so good!

The full bar features creative cocktails like the Matcha y Masa which is the matcha mezcal cocktail we never knew we needed, plus wine, beer & sake!

This is a spot you won’t want to miss! Send to someone you’d want to dine with in a 2D restaurant, reservations open May 16th on Opentable!
