BAR EDEN
Another concept from Exxir Hospitality, the group behind Paradiso, Casablanca and Tejas, Bar Eden is just as perfectly curated as its sister spots. The reason for the transformation: to make the cocktail bar more aligned with Paradiso. Customers didn’t know that Botanist was associated with Paradiso because their looks were so different, so now Bar Eden, which is lighter and more fun that it’s predecessor, can act as an extension of the Italian restaurant.
THE SPACE
Bar Eden essentially has the same set up as Botanist with the half circle bar in the middle and lounge seating all around. But the wallpaper has been swapped for patterns that feel very junglalow. The furniture also has been rearranged to make way for booth seating, and between the rattan, marble, feather lights, swan imagery and fauna upholstered stools, you’ll feel like you’re in an ethereal English garden room.
THE MENU
Choose a tomato or beef tartare and pair with herbaceous or fruit-forward mythically named cocktails like Medusa’s Gaze (smoked passion fruit, toasted coconut, jasmine, mescal and reposado tequila) or the Wrath From Above (red bell pepper, black pepper syrup, Thai basil, white balsamic, white rum and poblano liqueur.)
There’s also a “Fountain of Youth” French 75 cocktail experience for two, and if you loved Botanist for their clear Espresso Martini, fear not as it is still on the menu at Bar Eden, renamed as Cleo’s Lover.
HOURS
Bar Eden opened August 6th at 3pm and will be open on weekends from 3pm-12am or Wednesday-Fridays from 5pm-12am!
