Potpourri Boulangerie

Potpourri Boulangerie has not always served up tea! Formerly known as Potpourri of Silk, it started as a charming cake shop in 1996 by husband and wife duo, Constantino and Criseida Barreiro. In 2015, their son Andres took over, and he thought of adding a Montreal-style tea room concept to their space! They offer tea service in an elegant, yet laid-back setting, so anyone can come and enjoy their loose leaf teas, tasty sandwiches and sweet pastries!

TEA TIME MENU

Their entire menu is made in-house with locally sourced ingredients inspired by French and Mediterranean cuisine. Plus, all of their pastries are made fresh daily and in-house! One of our favorite bites was the Spring Berry Cake. They highlight multiple savory and sweet options, like empanadas, tarts, scones, and cakes. If you truly want to experience this hidden gem, join them for afternoon tea, which is what we did! Their tea service features four courses and their iconic tea tower paired with their loose leaf teas.

THE TEA HOUSE

This adorable tea shop sits inside a cozy yellow house in Oak Cliff! The front porch and outdoor area are full of beautiful blooms and potted plants that bring life and color to the space, idyllic for springtime. The interior feels elegant with vintage style decor and attention to detail, from the curtains to fine china. Plus you’ll have to visit during winter to sit in front of the ornate fireplace in the center of the room that makes the space feel warmer and homier! You can make reservations for afternoon tea by calling the teahouse directly for reservations!
