We recently visited a Vietnamese treasure—Bep Nha Vietnamese Kitchen! The space was packed with people enjoying bowls of yellow noodles and sipping on beautiful coffees and teas, all while surrounded by lush greenery in a bright, modern atmosphere.

BEP NHA VIETNAMESE KITCHEN

Recommended to us as one of the best authentic Vietnamese spots in the city, we visited on a Sunday afternoon and found a bustling crowd of families and friends. After tasting the food, we can see why! Bep Nha opened in 2022, founded by Huong Ngo, a self-taught chef who draws inspiration from her husband’s Central Vietnamese heritage.

THE STAR OF THE SHOW

Bep Nha offers an extensive menu of Vietnamese teas and coffees, but the standout is their signature Smoked Coffee. This drink layers strong black coffee, whole milk, and cocoa foam, which is then set on fire and infused with smoke!

OTHER STANDOUT SIPS

  • Trà Vải Hoa Hồng (Lychee Rose Tea)
  • Trà Sữa Tiramisu (Green Milk Tea with Tiramisu Milk Foam)
  • Nước Soda Kiwi Bạc Hà (Mint & Kiwi Soda)
  • Cà Phê Trứng Nướng (Egg Coffee with Crème Brûlée)

WHAT TO ORDER TO EAT

If you’re not already full from the drinks, the Mì Quảng (Yellow Noodle Soup) is the most popular dish. These yellow noodles are cooked in a rich broth with boiled pork, shrimp, and egg.

Other top recommendations include:

  • Bún Bò Huế (Vietnamese Spicy Beef Noodle Soup)
  • Hủ Tiếu (Egg & Rice Noodle Soup)
  • Cơm Tấm (Broken Rice)

DURIAN DESSERT

On weekends, enjoy complimentary dessert served in tiny cups—we tried both coffee and matcha brûlée. But you also have to try the Chè Thái Sữa Riêng, a treat made with tropical fruit and durian coconut cream.
