One of Dallas' most iconic venues is officially reclaiming its name… The Bomb Factory is back! What do y’all think about the name change?
Updated May 2025
THE BOMB FACTORY
Originally a Ford plant and later a factory during WWII (hence the name), they eventually became a major player in the '90s music scene, hosting Radiohead, Black Sabbath, and The Ramones before closing in 1997 and coming back around 20 years later.
In 2020, they shut down for 18 months when COVID hit, leading to new management and a different name, but now the original name is officially back!
BACK TO THE ORIGINAL
After a major revamp and a few name changes, they are officially back by popular demand. No more “Factory in Deep Ellum…” it’s officially The Bomb Factory once again!
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM
We got to see LCD Soundsystem kick off the relaunch and they were the perfect choice! As a staple of the ’90s and 2000s music scene (also Coachella headliners in 2016), the energy was unmatched! Plus, the balcony views were insane and the HUGE disco ball over the crowd was a vibe!
OFFICIAL RELAUNCH PARTY
We also got to get dressed up in classic all-denim outfits with the cutest Dallas and Texas patches by Levi's and received one of their denim tote bags to take all our goodies home. Thank you to the Bomb Factory and Levi’s for inviting us to the official relaunch!
