We escaped to Carlton Landing for a team retreat and stayed in the cutest little cottage, The Palmetto, and loved every minute! It was so charming and we can’t wait to share all the details with you!

CARLTON LANDING
Carlton Landing is seriously a hidden gem! It is nestled on Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma which is only around a 3-hour drive from Dallas, but it is totally worth the trip because this charming Seaside-inspired town was not only adorable but had so much to do!
ALL THE ACTIVITIES
Carlton Landing overlooks the lake and is just 15 minutes from downtown Eufaula which is a charming small town with shopping and dining! If you’re wanting to stay on site they have so much to offer including a water park, community pools, pickleball courts, hiking and walking trails, and a coffee shop! Plus they host events on the weekends like yoga, live music, markets, food trucks, and more!
WHERE WE STAYED: THE PALMETTO
We were blown away by the beauty of The Palmetto…it’s the most charming cottage! Think Seaside and Hamptons vibes, but in Oklahoma! The Palmetto was built in 2023 by a DFW-based real estate agent who, inspired by her love for Carlton Landing, decided to build a vacation home. The house has screened-in AND open porches, fire pits, a golf cart, pickleball paddles for the community courts, and so much more!
WHAT WE DID
🍔 Down Low Eatz came to our rental and set up a cooking class for us! It was such a fun and unique activity, and is the best idea for a cozy night in! They do all of the setup, prep, and even the cleanup, and you can customize the menu for any dietary restrictions!
🍕We grabbed Pizza at Mama Tigs, a family-owned business selling delicious pies and homemade gelato!
⛵️We rented a boat from Nine Marina and had a blast cruising around on the lake! Nine Marina is the best marina for rentals! + they even have a taco stand at the marina!
