We officially have a matcha bar in Dallas!! Chasen Matcha Bar opened a few weeks ago, and as matcha lovers ourselves, we were so excited to check it out! Not only is their space adorable, but the matcha was rich and perfect in taste! And PSA - it’s only open on weekends!

Chasen Matcha Bar opened May 11th, taking over Hola Cafe’s former location! They’re dedicated to making matcha more approachable and providing a delicious, healthy alternative for caffeine seekers. We learned that this approach aligns with a growing trend on the West Coast, where people enjoy matcha later in the day to maintain their energy levels, catering to both coffee drinkers and those sensitive to caffeine.
FUN FACT
The name “Chasen” honors the Japanese word for a matcha whisk, an essential tool in creating the perfect matcha!
THE MATCHA
The menu at Chasen is curated to offer something for everyone, and everything is made in-house, from the compotes to the cold foam. They use high-quality, ceremonial-grade matcha, and you can tell! It’s a perfect balance of creamy and earthy without being overly grassy or bitter.
