Introducing Claremont Dallas, a cozy neighborhood spot for burgers and martinis, nestled near the back of a strip center that houses Central Market at Northwest Highway and Midway

CLAREMONT DALLAS

If you are familiar, the space was last operated by Suze for 25 years. If you haven’t heard, it’s probably because Suze was very much a neighborhood joint, which Claremont will also strive for, with probably a bit more notoriety given the owner, Greg Katz’s popular concepts Beverley’s, Clifton Club, and Green Point.

THE ATMOSPHERE

The restaurant is moody with a Santa Fe-flair via deep red booths, desert landscape paintings and textiles, wood floors, dark brown interior shutters that shut off exterior light, and earth-colored walls to finish off the vibe. Alongside the booths, you’ll find a friendly bar, tables, and a private room.

A DALLAS BISTRO MENU

Similar to many bistro menus in Dallas, at Claremont you can start with deviled eggs, a pimento cheese dip, meatballs, or smoked brisket sliders to name a few. Continue with a rendition of Dean Fearing’s famous tortilla soup, a cheeseburger (if you know the Beverley’s burger, you’ll love this one too), roasted half chicken or rigatoni bolognese.

THE GRILL

The restaurant’s specialties lie in its Grill section, from slow roasted pork ribs with a house BBQ sauce, tenderloin filet with a secret sauce or a Duroc pork chop with bourbon pork jus.

SOME SIPS

To drink, there’s an extensive wine list including almost a dozen champagne options, or try one of their 7 signature cocktails including a chocolate espresso martini! For us, we loved the La Verdita with tequila, cucumber, mint, cilantro, jalapeno, pineapple and lime.

PLUS A PATIO

As a bonus, you’ll find an enclosed patio, with hedges that shield it from its strip center venue to allow for a quiet and nice environment. And right now, there’s a fire pit to warm up!
