One of the largest Thanksgiving Day events in the country is back! The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot returns November 27th, inviting families, friends, and furry companions to lace up and take part in a holiday tradition that’s been bringing Dallas together for nearly six decades!

DALLAS YMCA TURKEY TROT
Hosted by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, the Turkey Trot celebrates community and healthy living with 8-mile and 5K timed or untimed runs. Over 18,000 participants are expected to fill the streets of downtown Dallas this year and it starts in front of Dallas City Hall, runs rain or shine.
Funds raised from the event directly support the YMCA’s community health programs, including chronic disease prevention and childhood obesity initiatives, helping create a healthier North Texas!
TURKEY TROT DETAILS
Online registration is open and closes on November 27th, with race-day registration available from 7am to 8:15am. Choose to run or walk in person, or join virtually from your neighborhood or anywhere across the country! Make sure to register by 10/27 for early bird pricing!
COSTUME CONTEST & DOG-FRIENDLY TROT
Dress up in your most creative Thanksgiving costume for a chance to win a one-year YMCA membership! Don’t forget your furry friends, they can join the fun too in the dog-friendly trot and compete in a special costume contest just for pups!
