The Beard Foundation has announced its 2025 finalists, and we’re so proud that Dallas has SIX restaurants/chefs on the list! We’re highlighting them so you can give these places, their chefs, and their teams a huge congratulations!

THE JAMES BEARD FOUNDATION
If not familiar, the Foundation recognizes “exceptional talent and achievement” in the culinary arts, hospitality, and beyond. It’s the highest culinary award in the States, often equated to the Oscars of food! The finalists across the 22 categories were announced this afternoon and will be celebrated at the awards ceremony on June 16th at the Lyric Opera of Chicago!
P.S. Did you know Dallas hasn’t won a James Beard Award in 31 years?! The last one was Dean Fearing in 1994!

Chad Houser of Cafe Momentum
We already have one confirmed winner -- Dallas chef Chad Houser received this prestigious award for his selfless work at Cafe Momentum! Their mission is to help justice-involved youth ages 15 to 19 gain industry skills and a strong support system. The jobs they provide make the world a better place, "one meal, one person at a time"!

This upscale Travis Street Hospitality concept is known for its inventive menu that features seasonal ingredients like fresh seafood & local vegetables, plus an extensive wine list. They’re open for brunch & dinner, but their evening tasting menu is a must-try!

This 14-course omakase spot from the former chef of Teppo offers a new take on the Japanese dining experience, switching seafood for meats. The space offers an immersive experience, with just 8 seats & the chef cooking in front of you!
