Universe of Light at Gaylord Texan is the first-ever DC Super Hero-themed lantern experience in the U.S., and it’s here through September 1. The experience spans 17,500 square feet and brings 30 iconic DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains to life through 1,000+ handcrafted glowing lanterns, all powered by modern LED technology and built with 30 miles of silk and 200,000 pounds of steel. You’ll walk through 12 immersive scenes, recreations of Gotham City, Metropolis, and Themyscira. From Superman and Wonder Woman to Lex Luthor and The Joker, you’ll see familiar characters in a new light (pun intended)!

LOCATION & DETAILS
Universe of Light is open daily through September 1 inside the Gaylord in Grapevine. We parked at the main resort garage, walked to the lobby, and followed the signs to the tour lobby to catch the shuttle.
Pro tip: arrive about 10 minutes early so you’re on time for your appointment. The whole experience takes around 30-45 minutes, and you can get your parking validated at the gift shop on your way out!
