If Hocus Pocus is already a lock on your Halloween watchlist this year, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra just gave you a reason to see it differently. From October 9–11, 2026, the DSO brings Disney's Hocus Pocus in Concert Live to Film to the Meyerson Symphony Center, screening the Halloween classic on the big screen while a live orchestra performs the entire score in real time.

Hocus Pocus in Concert Live to Film features the Dallas Symphony Orchestra performing John Debney's score live to the film, note for note, as the movie plays on a massive screen above the stage. It's the same beloved film — Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson's chaos and comedy included, but experienced with a completely different energy, since every musical cue is being played by a full live orchestra instead of coming through theater speakers.
The performances are conducted by Jacob Joyce, and the presentation is officially licensed by Disney Concerts.
The Story (In Case You Need a Refresher)
Accidentally conjured on Halloween night in modern-day Salem, three 17th-century witches known as the Sanderson sisters plot to steal the life essence from the town's children to ensure their own eternal life. Outwitted by three prankster kids and aided by the immortal feline Thackery Binx, the witches' wicked scheme unravels in a spellbinding adventure.
