L&L HAWAIIAN BARBECUE
Founded in Hawaii and with over 240 locations worldwide, L&L Hawaiian BBQ prides itself on being the original Hawaiian barbecue and is now bringing insane flavors and all the island vibes to Arlington! Not only is it a small, family-operated business, but it’s owned by April Lazo, who is a Pacific Islander herself!
Fun fact: they established National Spam Musubi Day on August 8th (Hawaii’s area code is 808)!
THE PLATE LUNCH
Known as the state food of Hawaii, the Plate Lunch consists of two scoops of rice, creamy macaroni salad, and your choice of proteins! This tradition dates back to the 19th century when labor workers brought lunches to share, resulting in a blend of home recipes from Japan, China, the Philippines, Portugal, Korea, and even New England.
THE MENU
Led by executive chef Chandan Taneja who has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, enjoy classic Hawaiian plates or delicious twists on tradition with unique dishes like Spicy Corn Ribs, Cauliflower Katsu Curry, and Chili Garlic Shrimp.
