MIKE'S GEMINI
Mike’s Gemini opened back in 2019, from the owner of the former Braindead and the owner of Bowen House and Las Palmas. The two men come from generational Dallas restauranteur families and according to the same article, were excited to blend their more casual and more upscale styles together to make Mike’s Gemini!
THE BAR
Mike’s feels like a classic old-school dive that you’d find somewhere in Chicago or New York. Pool tables, jukeboxes, a mini stripper pole (decoration only), mirrors that sit above the big booths, and colored Christmas lights that frame them, all make up this funky yet classy spot.
THE DRINKS
Head to the bar (which you’ll recognize as the one that used to sit at Idle Rich if you frequented it back in Uptown’s heyday), and order a martini -- the Mike’s to be specific. It’s great! They also do other classic cocktails well too - Bowen is a sister spot after all! Try the Black Manhattan or Paper Plane to name a few of our go-to’s.
HOT DOGS
We are serious when we say this may be the best hot dog in Dallas! Order a regular or a jalapeño cheese sausage, and dress with mustard, ketchup, onions, pickled jalapeños, and relish.
HAPPY HOUR
Stop by from 4pm to 7pm on weekdays for $3.50 domestics, $5 house spirits, and wines.
$6 martinis and old-fashioned and a $7 boilermaker.
