Bishop Arts' beating heart, Revelers Hall, needs our support! If you’ve ever spent a night in Bishop Arts, chances are you’ve heard the brass and jazz spilling out from Revelers Hall long before you walked through the door. It’s one of the neighborhood’s most soulful spots, and they need our help!

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Revelers Hall shared that the City of Dallas’ Nighttime Task Force recently enforced new rules that could put their live music at risk. They’ve been told to remove their long-standing $6 music fee (without it, they can’t pay performers) and to keep doors closed at all times to prevent sound from escaping.

Plus, what makes it even tougher is that they’ve never received a single noise complaint. The open doors and sounds of trumpets and trombones has always been a part of the charm.

BEYOND REVELERS

Revelers isn’t the only venue feeling this. We’ve seen similar enforcement in other entertainment districts across the city, and many businesses have shared similar experiences, citing increased enforcement and new limitations on their operations.

While the reasons behind these changes aren’t fully clear, what we do know is that venues that helped shape our culture are now struggling to adapt under new rules and unclear guidelines.

HOW TO HELP

If you’ve ever danced, clapped, or smiled inside Revelers Hall, or just paused outside to listen, now’s your time to help.

📞 Reach out to your Dallas City Council Member and let them know how important venues like this are to our city’s culture and nightlife.

🎶 Stop by for a show!

P.S. If you know of another business struggling because of similar enforcement, you can support by doing the same things mentioned above!

WHY WE LOVE REVELERS HALL

This New Orleans-style music hall is pure magic, with horns, drums, and energy that spills onto the sidewalks. It’s also won awards for Best Live Music and Best Jazz Venue in Dallas, all while staying true to its roots with house bands, brass ensembles, and special guests that keep the magic of jazz alive.

There truly is no Bishop Arts without Reveler’s Hall, so help us in making sure the music keeps playing!
