Going out to dine with a group? We always say the more, the merrier when we go out; however, that can feel easier said than done. With more people, it seems like there are fewer options for where to go. Yet, this list proves that there are 45+ spaces go out and eat with a group -- so get ready to make a reservation!

We categorized the list by group size, however, many places offer multiple group dining areas so it’s worth reviewing all the options and calling the restaurant directly to ask what’s possible!

Go for: The karaoke room! Get ready to bust out your best Whitney Houston because in the back they have a secret karaoke room that you can rent out for any occasion while sharing bites and flamingo adorned cocktails! The room will be all yours for at least 4 hours and is way more fun than a sit down dinner for your next celebration - we’re thinking themed birthdays! There are spending minimums and you can have up to 24 people!

Old East Dallas | Directions



Go for: a bright, garden patio vibe during the day or nightlife vibes at night! The Garden Room was recently done and now available for group dining or rentals! If you thought Chelsea Corner was for late night partying, think again! You can even extend your party out onto the redone patio too! There are four rentable areas total: The Beer Garden patio, The Terrace, The Garden Room and The Game Room. They start at 20 seated or 45 standing and go up from there!

Dakota’s Steakhouse

Go for: An ultra-swanky steakhouse with an iconic past in Dallas. If you haven't heard of Dakota's, you may not know that this steakhouse is actually underground! From the elevator to the wine room to the steaks, this is a place that’ll wow your party guests. Groups of 12 can reserve the Chef's Table for an ultra glamorous experience. It’s considered one of the most romantic spots in Dallas, so a great spot for couples and plus ones!

Go for: An enchanting Italian meal with all the White Lotus Season 2 vibes! If you’re looking for a patio, book a large table under the lemon tree and sip on some spritzes. They also have a super cozy interior with all the Old World Italy vibes, perfect for enjoying classic pasta dishes. Your options here are truly endless, from vibe to number of people! Inquire online for groups and full buyouts.

Harwood District | Directions



Go for: Fun and games while you dine! This shuffleboard bar is great for groups who want to spice up their dining experience with a little competition. Groups can enjoy an amazing menu of shareables with a side of great cocktails. We highly recommend going for brunch or lunch!

Deep Ellum | Directions



Go for: A huge patio with a retractable roof, plus plenty of tacos and tequila! A Chicago favorite that opened in Dallas last year, Federales is a massive industrial open-air space with an energetic atmosphere. Groups can share The Pinche Paloma, a.k.a. a 100 oz upside down cowboy hat! If you and your group are in the mood for shots, try the “must-do” moment at Federales -- the Ring the Bell shot station! Reservations can be made online for up to 20 people.

Deep Ellum | Directions



HG Sply Co Rooftop


Go for: The rooftop patio with greenery and skyline views! Parties of 15 or more can enjoy the vibrant rooftop with amazing food and delicious cocktails. The menu features healthy options and classic American fare, which is great for accommodating any groups tastes and dietary restrictions. The rooftop is a staple on Greenville Avenue, but their locations in Trophy Club and Fort Worth are also great for groups!

Go for: Tea service with your crew! Heirloom Haul is no doubt one of the most unique Frisco finds and their unique space gives us all the Palm Desert feels. You can rent out their darling dining space complete with rows of glowy chandeliers above you, the patio offering covered area plus open area with umbrellas and yard games and the studio! There is a 2 hr minimum required and a $300 food and beverage min!

Go for: Close proximity to games at the AAC! Being so close to the AA Center it's no secret that Hero, situated in Victory Park, is a go to for all things sports! Their casual fare, trendy ambiance and all around fun vibe are way more elevated than your average sports bar and they have an upstairs area available to rent out! You can make event inquiries for 15+ people on their website and their coordinator will work with you to fit your needs. Pre-game party anyone? We think yes!

Go for: Martinis, bellinis, oysters! Hudson House is a favorite of ours and how could it not be? Cheersing martinis and fresh oysters make for quite the shamelessly boujee evening. Well they introduced their first event space in July of 2020 in Lakewood and it has a name to match its fabulous decor, The Pineapple Room! Right now they are serving intimate parties of up to 10 but it's such a unique experience and they are home to their well known Worlds Coldest Martini, so be sure to cheers some of those! If you’re in the mood for a daytime affair, host a brunch with a few of their Hudson Towers of bagels, lox, lobster, cream cheeses and more toppings!

Lakewood | Directions



Up On Knox

Go for: bubbly and the Instagrammable seafood tower, in the private room that technically holds up to 13 people! Also, the Chef is available for off-site dining, hosting a private dinner for up to 30 people at your home.

Go for: An intimate meal downtown! If you have 16 or less people, check out the private dining room at Partenope neighboring the Giant Eyeball downtown! The decor is absolutely stunning and decked out in lavish deep blue walls with chairs to match, windows providing ample natural light and plenty of room to make your dining experience custom whether you prefer one big table or multiple long tables.

La Neta Cocina Y Lounge

Go for: A trip to Tulum right here in Dallas! Opened in early 2023, La Neta is a stunning restaurant and lounge that feels like a jungle oasis! You and you group can enjoy an upbeat vibe with live music and over the top sips and bites. If you want a more intimate vibe, they have a private dining room with huge chandeliers and windows you can see out of but not in! Go for: World class Italian in the 'burbs! Nominated as one of our Best of New 2022, this spot is stunning with amazing food to back it up! You and your group can enjoy one of their giant booths under a chandelier, or rent out their 14-person private room. They offer three special menus at various price points for both large group reservations and private room bookings!

Frisco | Directions



Go for: an upscale French influenced steakhouse experience with white tablecloths, an extensive wine list and classic French offerings such as beef bourguignon. This Plano staple offers two private closed-door rooms, one for 10-15 at one long beautiful wood table and another (pictured above) offering space for 20-40 people. Mignon even lets you reserve the grand patio overlooking a lake, or the entire main 1960’s France inspired restaurant, seating a total 240 people!

Go for: Crazy desserts for a celebration! If you’ve ever been to Nick and Sam’s and witnessed a special event, namely a birthday or anniversary, you know that the food is divine and the dessert is even better! We’re talking about a multilayer rainbow cake, cotton candy and ice cream all at once decked out in sparklers! Well what better way to enjoy your special event or dinner than by enjoying your company in their private dining accommodations? Business meetings can even utilize the private dining options and can go as big as a reception or rehearsal dinner! 

Uptown | Directions




Go for: a unique dining experience. Niwa is designed for group dining, featuring in-table smoke-free grills so you can prepare your own food. Reserve one of the full tables with two pits for cooking and you’ll have yourself a fun, interactive evening with your group! There is a cap for 10 guests!

Deep Ellum | Directions


River Pig Saloon

Go for: A bright and airy space with tons of TVs and amazing food! This brand new indoor/outdoor sports bar is perfect for groups, with tons of large tables and patio chairs. The menu is crowd-pleasing, with options including chicken legs, burgers, tacos, salad, and shareables! They also have a great craft cocktail menu along with tons of beers and wines on tap. The space fills up quick, so definitely book a reservation!

Lower Greenville | Directions



The Charles


Go for: Exquisite Italian food and expertly designed interior! Want to feel like you’re having a meal on an island somewhere dreamy and remote? The meals are Italian but the private room located in The Charles reminds us of upscale, tropical oasis with exotic plant prints adorning the walls giving us major Miami vibes. The room can be reserved for an intimate dinner among friends, family or coworkers with a 16 person minimum.

Design District | Directions



Go for: a very fancy meal at a fabulous steakhouse. While the Elvis is a very popular dessert on the menu, The Elvis Room is the not very known private dining room you can rent out. Not surprisingly the theme is set to pay homage to the legendary rock and roll king.

Go for: The darling, French inspired patio that can be personalized! The private dining room at Beverley’s offers guests a full-service bar, scattered flatscreens and premium courtyard access! Custom cocktails and meals are available to make it a customized affair as well. 

Knox-Henderson | Directions



Elm and Good


Go for: Incredible craft cocktail creations! Inside The Pittman Hotel, Elm & Good’s historic design is a laid back location for special dinners or just having a private meal with some friends after work! There are 2 dining rooms available for group dining and each room has its own outdoor terrace for groups of 10 - 30. You can also buy out the whole space if you have a large dining event!

Deep Ellum | Directions



Go for: Mexico City-style cuisine and the cigar bar, at this Dallas institution. There are three private banquet rooms, with capacities ranging from 10 to 60 people. They book fast (because Javier’s is always the best time!) so plan far in-advance.

Knox | Directions



Go for: when you want to dress up, kind of. Meddlesome Moth has a great upscale, but still down-to-earth atmosphere, and their brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night menus are all fantastic. They can set-up a semi-private area for large parties! You can book indoors and be split up at 10 people per table or book the back patio for groups around 20 people.

Design District | Directions



Paradiso Bar


Go for: one of the most trendy, and beautiful interiors. Your friends will instantly be impressed stepping in and you can’t beat the atmosphere and drinks. You can gather next door at their cocktail bar The Botanist pre-party and then gather a large table out on the patio, or inside at one of the many different table set ups. Or you can go even bigger, and rent out the full space!

Bishop Arts | Directions



From the space to the menu, this cozy French bistro gives an intimate vibe, even with a group of 20 people! You and your group can enjoy the private forest dining area and outdoor patio, with souffles in every flavor you can imagine!

Lovers Lane | Directions



Go for: Pan-Asian fare plus some of the best brussels sprouts! If you loved Shinsei before, you’ll love the newly redesigned private dining areas even more! The dining room is the perfect area for a more intimate affair while the funky upstairs lounge is fit for fun gatherings. You can take virtual tours of both rooms on their website!

Inwood | Directions



Go for: Private patio dining! Their Plano location sits among Willowbend Mall and is the sister restaurant of Ali Baba Mediterranean Grill! They have private dining rooms and a patio for all your special moments topped with delicious Mediterranean food that is as authentic and flavorful as it gets!

Plano | Directions





Go for: An upscale, exotic culinary experience special that’ll feel more like a group vacay than a group dinner! Tulum offers a special four-course group dining menu, with options like ceviche, elote, enchiladas, pork chops, salmon, and more. The menus run about $60 to $75 per person, and require booking in advance. Don’t forget to check out their tropical cocktail menu too!

Highland Park Village | Directions





This quaint restaurant in Uptown is the perfect place for an Italian dinner party! They offer a full buyout option of the restaurant or patio for groups. Bonus, their patio is enclosed in the summer, so you and your guests can stay warm while you enjoy pasta, wines, and great service!

Uptown | Directions



Go for: Steak of any kind! Fine steaks and seafood are what we think of when we imagine fancy group dinners and Dee Lincoln Prime has you covered with multiple rooms to best suit your needs all named with sports in mind. Choose from the Hall of Fame Room, Ring of Honor Room, The Heisman Room, The Super Bowl Room and finally The Champion Room which combines The Heisman Room and The Super Bowl Room! Customized, private dining menus are available.

Frisco | Directions



Go for: Steak and seafood! Another phenomenal restaurant for steak and seafood alike. Many group dining events that take place here are business related since they have flat screens for presentations but they’re a great spot for any dining soiree! They can accommodate large groups from 20 all the way up to 250!

Multiple locations | See locations



Go for: The cocktails! Drake's on Lovers Lane is now offering a full restaurant buyout option for up to 25 guests to have the space and round cocktail bar all to themselves to sip cocktails like an old fashioned in old school lounge style. They have an event contact too that can help you personalize the evening!

Lovers Lane | Directions



Go for: High tea with your brunch crew! Edith’s French Bistro has many dining options that will transport your traditional brunch to the streets of France! From parties of 15 - 300, Edith’s can do a plated meal, buffet and even family style! Their are partial private dining rooms, tea rooms and of course the elegant patio

Plano | Directions



Go for: Outstanding Tex Mex with cantina-style ambiance! Private dining accommodations can vary by location but are available to fit your fine Mexican food cravings from luncheons to casual brunches, happy hours and of course dinner events. They have a set banquet menu if needed and you have the option of working with their event planners to create a custom menu for your theme and budget!

Go for: a memorable meal and experience! Chef & Owner Dean Fearing is famous as a Dallas restauranter. Brunch will run you at least $50 per person and dinner, about double that. However, you’ll be dining at one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the city! For private dining, choose from the wine cellar (up to 16 people), The Ocaso (patio) and The Sendero (glass walls with views of the garden).

Uptown | Directions




Go for: Dignified Southern comfort bites! Haywire is a go to for any event but specifically a hub for happy hours and birthday parties! One of us even celebrated a birthday here. They have various spaces at both locations that hold smaller groups of between 15-25 guests, mid-size groups up to 50 and large groups up to 100 people. Also at the Plano location is a cigar friendly rooftop deck and terrace that hold 20 - 75!

Uptown & Plano | See locations



Go for: a lively night out, at a Modern Mexican restaurant. Bring on the queso fundido and margaritas! Grab a group of friends and go for happy hour or dinner. You could plan a party on the enclosed patio that can seat up to 50 people - it resembles a tree house and it’s extremely cool for a night out!

Oak Lawn | Directions



Go for: The elevated European fare! Right in the center of Highland Park Village, Bistro 31 sits like a perfect little slice of Europe. And while the upscale setting and gorgeous patio are enough to be obsessed with if you head upstairs, Lounge 31 is a prime location for group dinners equipped with a full bar, luxurious loungers and a terrace! 40-45 people is the max for the space.

Highland Park Village | Directions



Go for: Mexican food you can always count on. The menu is fantastic and fool-proof. Depending on group size, you might be able to swing a long table indoors or on the back patio. Otherwise, the flagship location in Downtown has a massive upstairs space that’s both indoors/outdoors.

Downtown | Directions



Go for: Swanky Latin food! Utilize the Lounge for 25, The Cava for 120 or Fireplace Room for 40 - 55 in their classy and polished hacienda. Latin music will set the tone while you sip Tequila and Mezcal flights among your best company! Our vote would be hosting a weekend brunch with their marg flight and Spanish-inspired breakfast classics.

Irving & Plano | See locations



Go for: The largest sake collection in North America, largest Japanese whiskey collection in DFW and first rate sushi! The private dining room can comfortably host 15 - 50 guests and have hosted many private events such as cocktail hours with passed bites all the way to elegantly seated formal dinner parties! Luxury is taken down to the final detail including special event menus that are crafted specifically for your group affair. There is a F&B min based on what day of the week and time of year that you choose to book.

Downtown Dallas | Directions



Go for: Outdoor seating around an artist-created water feature! It doesn’t get any classier than a private social members club iconically located in Highland Park Village. Their team is full of event experts to make a fully custom experience. From balloon installations, craft mixology, lighting, in-house desserts and cakes, entertainment and more! It’s essentially a one stop shop so you don’t have to hire services a la carte! The cellar, parlor, salon, green room, vault and even a Morroccan balcony will have you feeling transported. Right now they are doing seated events of up to 50! 

Highland Park Village | Directions

Go for: meter-long Neapolitan pizza. There is a gorgeous brick private room for up to 40 people where you can bring in decorations and set-up an easy pre-set menu to share family style. We’ve hosted our birthday and a holiday party here! The best part is the customer service; the staff will work with you so you’re completely happy with the experience.

Greenville Ave | Directions



Go for: The rooftop! While you can rent out the main dining space and Trinity Room, Rocco’s Rooftop is the true crowd pleaser at Saint Rocco’s on the edge of Trinity Groves. The views of downtown Dallas and Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge are truly unrivaled since Saint Rocco’s is a front row seat to the city and the New York Italian cuisine is the cherry on top. All spaces are fit for small and large events alike of up to 250!

Trinity Groves | Directions



Go for: Fresh and light oak-fire grilled main courses plus 52 wines by the glass! While you can rent out the private dining rooms and semi private spaces for up to 84 people, opt for the chef’s table if you have dining needs that are more small-scale. You’ll be able to consult with a personal event coordinator, receive custom menus, have a sommelier give you wine pairing recommendations, complimentary valet parking and more!

Sixty Vines


Go for: an extensive wine list and upscale Italian food at a restaurant that’s always buzzing. If your group is large enough, you can reserve the Gazebo, which is seriously #goals. It comes close to a greenhouse and even features real life trees and other plants inside, so pretty much is a treehouse!

Uptown | Directions



Go for: being on trend. Have you heard of STIRR? More like, have you seen your friends at STIRR on Instagram? They’ve have a private room that has its own bar and a projector screen! You can take a 3D tour of the room online.

Deep Ellum | Directions



Go for: Daily drink specials! Next door to the historic Granada Theater, enjoy passed apps, buffet style or plated meals under the pergola with a partial rooftop rental for 45 - 50 with a bartender or the full rooftop for 85 - 85 people! The farm to table offerings are super approachable for a casual approach to group dining.

Greenville | Directions



Go for: Honest to goodness Tex-Mex! What’s better than tried and true Tex-Mex? Inviting all your friends to toast frose and margs in Taco Lingo’s private indoor loft, too! Book the loft for happy hour, watch parties, holiday parties and social dining! Your loft fiesta can hold up to 60 people and an event manager will help make it your own so cue the tacos and Ranch Waters!

Go for: There are 5 areas that can easily accommodate groups, including a patio, upstairs bar, and a space for a Chef’s dinner. Before releasing this list, The Henry was our only go-to reply for where groups should go out to eat.

Uptown | Directions



Go for: The ginormous pup friendly patio that hosts the cutest doggos! We can’t get enough of The Ranch and with multiple rooms available to rent, it’s officially added to the group dining guide! Chef’s Corner has a private bar and high tops overlooking an open concept kitchen, The Fire Pit is perfect for small cocktail parties, enclose your group in the Eldorado room and patio, or host a reception dinner on The Pavilion. They can host any group dining up to 150!

Las Colinas | Directions



Go for: Craft cocktails and whiskey! Thompson’s Bookstore isn’t actually a bookstore at all but an old fashioned, sophisticated lounge and bar that feels more like a parlor with a speakeasy downstairs in the basement. The first floor for 65 - 100 and second floor for 30 - 60 guests are available to rent with full bar capabilities, custom menus, staff and other tailored options!

Fort Worth | Directions



Go for: Quality Texas and California wines! There are several areas of Times Ten’s full production winery that can be rented for any type of group dining and it's hard to choose! There’s a Barrel Room, Winery Room (plus opt. Tank Room) and more with other variations of the rooms combined. However, you must bring your own food which makes it kind of fun to pair with their extensive list of wines!

Go for: Tons of colorful photo ops! This funky restaurant is a staple for girls nights and brunches – did you know they offer a private room for groups? Parties of up to 40 people can rent out The Green Room, a fully private room with a bar. Every spot here is truly Instagram worthy, so get ready for some group pics!
