The boba tea scene in DFW just got a whole lot more exciting with the launch of Rocketbelly, a one-of-a-kind self-serve boba tea shop owned and operated by 11-year-old entrepreneur, Olivia Huynh. We’ve seen her all over the news and finally made the drive to Arlington to meet her ourselves. Here’s how it went!

ROCKETBELLY

Fueled by her love for boba tea and the encouragement of her family, Olivia opened up her dream shop this past October with savings from modeling and acting gigs. Now, it’s the only self-serve boba shop in Texas and we are obsessed!

Rocketbelly

THE SPACE

Tucked in a corner of Arlington, step inside an inviting and intergalactic-themed boba shop that mirrors Olivia’s imagination and fascination with space. The entire restaurant is supposed to feel like being on the inside, or the belly, of a rocket, hence the name! There’s also an abundance of board games, and we even battled it out in Dance Dance Revolution!
P.S. Olivia is always down for a dance battle, just ask!

SELF-SERVE BOBA

Rocketbelly is the only self-serve boba shop in Texas and we are so here for it! Choose from a variety of loose-leaf teas, fruit infusions, and creamy milk bases, and then add your preferred toppings like boba pearl and jellies. We love how you’re able to sample anything before building your boba!

BITES

Aside from boba, we were surprised to find a food menu with delicious bites! We tried the milky way corn riblets with a coconut sauce that was so good, and their popular honey-butter fries dipped in rocket sauce… Next time though, we want to try the chicken tender & chicken nugget plates that we’ve heard are delicious!
