This is major news for Dallas County residents! Due to the long-lasting economic impact of the pandemic, Dallas County has rolled out an Emergency Housing Assistance program to help those in the county with rent, bills, mortgages, and more and you might be eligible to receive funds!

HOW IT WORKS

The pandemic effected us in more ways than one and although the worse of it is (hopefully) behind us, one major impact that has carried into 2022 is the personal financial struggle for those who have lost their jobs, took pay cuts, or experienced the loss of a family member who heavily financially contributed to their families. 

To assist those still struggling, Dallas County has issued an Emergency Housing Assistance program to help pay your bills, mortgage, rent, or more to get you back on your feet. The program is offering up to $1,500/month for 12 months!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

And if you’re financially struggling, you might be eligible! The program is for anyone living in Dallas County, there is a separate program for housing + utility assistance for the City of Dallas, and if your income doesn’t exceed the average area. You must also not be already receiving housing assistance through another program.
