THE WAYBACK
This casual boutique hotel is 15 minutes west of downtown Austin, with 8 cottages that can sleep 2 to 4 guests. Opened in 2019 by a mother-daughter duo, their dreams of creating a quaint, cozy gathering place in Westlake Hills became reality!
THE GROUNDS
The property is laden with tall trees, string lights, and in the center of the grounds is a dreamy saltwater pool! It’s so charming and laid back yet elegant with the upscale design and natural vintage touches. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee or a glass of wine by the fire pit, sit on the outdoor patio, or take in the fresh air and hilly views!
ON-SITE CAFE
On-site you can also find The Wayback Cafe, a farm-to-table eatery fixing up a seasonal menu of southern staples and fresh additions! The patio and outdoor lawns are perfect for dining al fresco under the iconic yellow striped umbrellas giving off major Palm Springs energy. Or dine inside the adorable dining room and cozy up at the bar.

Plus, the current menu is chef’s kiss and beyond! We can’t say enough about the strawberry toast app, the melt-in-your-mouth crab cakes, and our personal favorite, the summer bowl with steak!
And don’t forget a cocktail or two! We enjoyed the Bees Knees, with hints of lavender. They also feature a full wine list and non-alcoholic beverages like the Splish Splash, which comes with an adorable rubber ducky!
