GEORGE W. BUSH PRESIDENTIAL CENTER
Start by walking through interactive exhibits that explore the American presidency through the lens of the 43rd president, George W. Bush. You’ll see powerful artifacts, including steel beams from the World Trade Center.
The current special exhibit, “Game Changer: United by Sports,” dives into how sports shape culture and spark change, with historic pieces like Jesse Owens’ 1936 Olympic gold medals.

Next, step inside a replica of the Oval Office, where you can sit behind the Resolute Desk and have your photo taken by a professional photographer! Everything, down to the photo frames and the rug, is exactly how it was during President George W. Bush’s administration
LUNCH + A WALK IN THE PARK
After exploring the museum, grab lunch at Cafe 43, a Texas-influenced restaurant with seasonal, locally sourced dishes and a terrace overlooking the park! Then end the day in the 15-acre Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park, open daily from sunrise to sunset. With walking paths, bridges, water features, and native landscaping, it’s a peaceful spot many Dallasites don’t even realize is there!
