Urbano Cafe

Urbano Cafe has sat on Fitzhugh in East Dallas for 12 years. It was an instant hit, being named the Best New Restaurant of 2009 by Dallas Morning News. Walk in through the bistro style facade to find a cozy and intimate atmosphere perfect for an evening with one, or a few, others. Urbano also took over the space next door to make way for a jazz bar called Two Doors Down with live music!

Menu

The restaurant serves Italian fare, with apps like caprese s’mores and risotto balls, and pasta including bolognese, sausage (Jimmy’s) and mushroom risotto, and shrimp fettuccine. And they also serve entrees from duck breast to scallops and more. The food is homey and delicious, and pairs great with their wine and beer available for purchase.

BYOB

Or you can bring your own bottle of wine for $5 per person!

Happenings

Typically, Two Doors Down is alive with jazz music every Tuesday evening but is currently on pause due to COVID. And there’s also a back patio that is adorable - get ready to visit it when the weather gets warmer! (Currently its closed.) However if you are being cautious about dining in, you can reserve Urbano’s private room that seats up to 12 people!

So add this to your date night list, and make sure to support this charming neighborhood bistro!
