The Beard Foundation has announced its 2026 finalists and we’re so proud that Dallas has two restaurants/chefs on the list! Go give these places, their chefs, and their teams a huge congratulations!

THE JAMES BEARD FOUNDATION
If not familiar, the Foundation recognizes “exceptional talent and achievement” in the culinary arts, hospitality, & beyond. It’s the highest culinary award in the States, often equated to the Oscars of food! The finalists across all categories were announced this afternoon & will be celebrated at the awards ceremony on June 15th at the Lyric Opera of Chicago!

Lucia is already one of the hardest reservations to get in the city, and Maggie’s seasonal, soulful pastries are the perfect ending to their incredible handmade pastas!

Osteria il Muro is a tiny, intimate spot that feels like you’ve stumbled into a hidden kitchen in Italy. They work with local farmers, seasonal produce, and make everything from scratch to serve regional Italian cuisine.
