The best bagel shop in the entire country can be found right here in Dallas, according to the world’s premier bagel celebration! Starship Bagel had another monumental year at Bagelfest, where it was ranked the Best Bagel as chosen by NYC bagel experts, beating out bagel shops all over the country, including many from New York itself!

STARSHIP BAGEL
Starship Bagel opened in Lewisville in 2021, and has since expanded to three locations: the OG in Lewisville, one Downtown near the Giant Eyeball, and one in North Dallas off Arapaho Road. They're known for authentic New York-style bagels, made in small batches that undergo a 24-hour fermentation before being boiled and baked. It's gained quite the cult-following in Dallas, and its many awards and accolades prove just how good they are!
BEST BAGEL AT BAGELFEST
This year, they returned to NYC's Bagelfest and brought home the gold: the award for Best Bagel! They beat out dozens of bagel shops from all over the U.S., even some in NYC. And, it's not Starship's first year to win some awards at Bagelfest -- in previous years, they've won:
- "Schmear of the Year" in 2024 (for their out-of-this-world basil schmear)
- 2nd place "Best Bagel" in 2024
- 2nd in “Best Beyond the Boroughs” in 2024
- "Best Bagel" in 2023
- “Rising Star” (1st place) in 2023
