Updated July 2023
DMA DAY PASS
The Dallas Museum of Art is always free to visit, but they do have two special exhibitions that cost money to experience. Right now, through July, you can experience both of the paid exhibitions for just $15, originally $34!
THE TWO EXHIBITIONS
"Saints, Sinners, Lovers, and Fools": Explore over 130 works of art on subjects that flourished between the 1400s and 1600s in the Netherlands. With a variety of media on display, from paintings to manuscripts, this exhibition details stories about dreams and ambitions, fears and desires, and what it means to be human. Find out which character best describes you!
“Movement": An interactive art exhibition that utilizes optical or mechanical effects to engage you. The contemporary artists whose works are on display demonstrate the legacy of these earlier movements through their play on the relationship between the mechanical and the organic, and the digital and the natural. Guests are welcomed by “Firefly”, a piece in which you can pull chains to turn the lightbulbs on or off!
TICKETS
DMA Day Pass can be purchased ahead of time online or at the front desk. The $15 pass is a special July promo so make your plans to visit asap!
MORE TO EXPLORE
You can still explore the museum after the paid exhibitions too! Journey through the museum to see over 5,000 pieces of art, including works by Monet and Picasso! We also loved the limited-time multi-media installation titled “Concentrations 64: Ja’Tovia Gary, I KNOW IT WAS THE BLOOD” by a local filmmaker and artist celebrating her ancestors and culture, which is here until November 5! The museum has so many cool pieces right now, we could spend all day there!
