From the team behind Selda and The Mayor's House comes Elia Greek Tavern, a new spot that brings Turkish and Greek influences into a lively, coastal-inspired setting! Located on the corner of Bishop and W 9th St, it’s the perfect spot for dinner, drinks, or a late-night bite in Bishop Arts!

ELIA GREEK TAVERN

Led by chef Habip Kargin, Elia draws inspiration from seaside taverns in Greece and the rich flavors of the Mediterranean. The menu highlights fresh seafood like branzino, dorado, and octopus, along with classic dips like tzatziki and saganaki. Chefs Abdullah “Apo” Acik and Yusuf Alasulu, both from Cyprus, bring an authentic coastal touch to every dish.

THE SPACE

Elia feels like dining seaside in Santorini with whitewashed walls, blue doors, pink bougainvillea, and hand-painted Mediterranean artwork. At night, the energy spills onto the covered patio and indoor-outdoor bar that stays open late (until 12am on weekdays and 2am on weekends!).

WHAT TO TRY

We started with their house-made mezzes and signature cocktails, the Forbidden Apple and Aphrodite’s Kiss, and then we shared:

🫓 Assorted Dip Platter

🥒 Zucchini Fries

🥗 Elia Gavurdagi Salad

🐙 Grilled Octopus

🐟 Branzino

🦪 Scallops

For our nightcap, we had to try their:

🥐 Baklava

🍰 Pistachio Cheesecake

☕️ Greek Coffee
