Ennis is home to the “Official Texas Bluebonnet Trail” where you can drive through over 40 miles of stunning bluebonnet scenery for free!! Plus, next weekend is the annual Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival!

BLUEBONNET TRAILS

Experience 40 miles of blooming bluebonnet driving trails now through April 30th! To start your journey, head to the Downtown Ennis welcome center for the best route the day of your visit. They provide a map and let you know the best place to see the bluebonnet blooms depending on the time of the season!

We stopped by the Meadow View Nature Area on Lake Bardwell to get out and take photos in the bluebonnets with a stunning lake view and picnic tables!

ENNIS BLUEBONNET TRAILS FESTIVAL

Head to Downtown Ennis, just 45 minutes outside Dallas, this weekend from April 11th to 13th for their iconic Bluebonnet Festival! The Festival opens each day with arts & crafts vendors, tasty food, and kids' activities through the streets of the adorable town. As the day goes on, live music will hit the stage too!

 

CASHLESS ENTRY

Admission is $5 for adults, free for children 12 and under, and tickets can be purchased at the gate with credit/debit only.

 

WINE WANDER 

Wine lovers can purchase daily passes for the Wine Wander tasting tents around downtown with seating and live music. These passes include a commemorative bag, glass, and 8 tasting tickets + you can come and go from the wine tent as you enjoy the festival! Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome on the trails and at the festival, but watch out for snakes! 🐶
