In December, Honeybird debuted their opening near the Lakeside DFW neighborhood between Flower Mound and Grapevine! The area is known for up and coming spots, so we had to get our hands on their fast casual, yet gourmet offerings!
The bright cafe is open Tuesday - Sunday from 7 AM - 7 PM, making it perfect for grab and go or dine in their minimalist yet sunny setting! They keep the menu simple, specializing in gourmet donuts, biscuit sandwiches and craft coffee with some fun fillers in between. And let’s not forget the darling packaging for treats and drinks alike!
When scrolling through their Instagram, deciding between their fried chicken biscuit sandwiches and their donuts was a difficult choice! We tried both for the perfect combination of savory and sweet -- definitely the right decision! Their breakfast sandwiches come on brioche buns and on biscuits, and if you want another version of a sandwich, they've got breakfast tacos too! Plus the pastries have fun options like pineapple fritters and maple bacon donuts. They have a few lunch sandwiches, so you can enjoy this spot throughout the day. We also heard that their loaded tater tots are incredible, which we plan on trying next time!
CRAFT COFFEE & TEA
Also on the menu is a select group of craft coffees, hot tea and more to pair with your meal. We tried the Spanish latte and loved it… but be advised, it was very sweet. For those not in favor of two shots of espresso, opt for a chai tea latte! Either way is an ideal combination! We've got our eyes on the strawberry matcha and the espresso tonic for next time.
