Recently we traveled north to Grapevine to visit the House of Shine, a non profit and interactive museum of self discovery! Their mission is to help you discover your talents, then implement them into the world, thus creating “shine”! While you're in Grapevine, check out the city's food hall for some new bites!

HOUSE OF SHINE
SHINE is an acronym for strengths, hobbies, interests/irritants, needs and experiences. Via various exercises and rooms throughout the space, you’ll find a deeper meaning as to why you have the gifts that you do and how they can contribute to society. Guests of all ages are invited to learn the science of self as there is a variety of programming based on age!
VISITING
You can stop by the museum anytime Tuesday-Saturday 10 AM until 4 PM for free, or you can join in a special workshop for activity session. There are mentoring roundtables, enneagram workshops, volunteer days, journaling workshops, a virtual book club, and more! Their programs are for youth and for adults, so everyone can enjoy!
COMMUNITY ROOM
There’s also a community room with a coffee bar and lending library during open hours. Out back there is a darling backyard for event rentals and future events to come (we heard whispers of open mic night)!
ADMISSION
House of Shine is free for all. Reserve your free ticket on Eventbrite and of make sure to take a picture in front of the Hello Yellow wall made up of 280+ yellow objects! This is a great way to have some family fun!
