While you can get your coffee fix at Houndstooth Coffee, there’s a reservation only cozy cocktail and spirit lounge tucked away inside the coffee shop! Like a true speakeasy, make your way through Houndstooth’s Sylvan Thirty location to find Jettison!
Jettison has actually been around since 2016 serving up craft cocktails in a classy setting! The relaxed cocktail experience is made up of classic and Avant Garde cocktails with Japanese influences. The bar manager, George, is half Japanese, half Texan and created the unique menu to reflect his origin story! Previously, you could take part in classes and tastings, which we hope comes back soon for a fun night out!
While they do serve up variations of classic cocktails like a gin martini and an old fashioned, there are multiple sections of the cocktail menu to explore: Texas inspired, Japan inspired, original cocktails and Avant Garde! We loved opting for adventurous options like the Éscorpion served in a tiki glass and lit on fire!
BITES
Accompany your cocktails with a select menu of nosh made with local ingredients! Meat and cheese boards are a must to accompany a glass of wine or a cocktail, but there’s also a Karaage, a.k.a. a Japanese fried chicken, to try, which is definitely on our list!
THE SPACE
When you walk into Houndstooth, follow the corridor that leads to the bathrooms, and you’ll end up in the swanky space straight out of a West Elm ad! It’s a combo of deep wood, comfy leather and gold accents that make for a classic and timeless, yet moody, atmosphere! There’s intimate room for meeting up with a friend at the cocktail bar, and there's more spacious room for parties up to 5!
