Updated January 2022

Established in January 2010 by Spiros and Jackie, Opa! is family-owned and -operated. This restaurant serves Greek food, inspired by Spiros' upbringing in Athens.

This divey gem welcomes all to enjoy some tasty Greek food and refreshing wine both inside in their cozy coffee shop and outside on their patio. Their outdoor patio is shaded by large oak trees (heaters, also!) and is filled with a hodgepodge of seating. Customers can sit in the front, side or back — whatever they choose!

The restaurant offers some classic Greek dishes like falafel and skewers & gyros. They also have tasty appetizers like the hummus trio, featuring pesto, roasted red pepper and classic hummus. Pizzas are available as well. It should definitely be noted that there are $5 mimosas all day!

Opa! is located on South Lamar and is open Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM to 11 PM and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 AM to midnight. They also offer live music every night from 8 to 10 PM and the restaurant is dog-friendly for pups on leashes, with water bowls and treats available for free.

Happy hour is everyday from 3 to 7 p.m. and all day on Sunday. You can get $3.50 mimosas, $1 off draft beers, $2 off wine glasses, $3 house cab and $5.50 sangria.
