Relocating to DFW

Oysters might not be local to Dallas, but we have a lot of great seafood restaurants around town that offer seafood from the East and West Coasts, and the Gulf! We personally love East coast oysters - Blue Points and Pemaquids are some of our favorites. But what’s even better?! An oyster happy hour of any kind! We are breaking down where to go get a great deal and celebrate!

AW SHUCKS

Aw Shucks has a laid-back atmosphere with an endless seafood menu! Their happy hour is available Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm and you can get $5 fried oysters and $5 off a dozen raw oysters! Not only that, but you can also get $5 crab bites, jumbo shrimp, wings, and more.

HALF SHELLS & FISH CITY GRILL

Half Shells and Fish City Grill, sister restaurants, offer happy hour from 3 PM to 6 PM on Monday through Friday! Order their Gulf oysters for $1.25 each or their east coast oysters for $2 each! Add a handcrafted cocktail or a cup of scratch-made soup to your order for the perfect meal.

HUDSON HOUSE

Hudson House oozes East Coast coastal bistro vibes, and we love it for that reason! Since one of us grew up in Connecticut and another went to school in Maine, this place is as good as it gets when it comes to fresh oysters in Dallas. This eatery offers happy hour every day from 3pm to 6pm with half-priced oysters, burgers, and $10 martinis!

THE OCEANAIRE

Looking to celebrate the end of your week with some oysters? Head to The Oceanaire on Sundays from 5pm to 9pm and enjoy their $2 oyster special with your upscale seafood dinner! Take a seat in their plush booths while you enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the freshest seafood flown in daily from around the world. 

North Dallas | Directions

OCEAN PRIME

Ocean Prime, a go-to for seafood, steaks, and cocktails offers happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm. All of their appetizers are half-priced, including their oysters, which are normally $23!

Uptown | Directions

REX’S SEAFOOD

If you want to take it down a notch and enjoy oysters in a more casual setting, Rex’s Seafood at the Dallas Farmer’s Market, or on Northwest Highway is the place to go! They offer a $2 gulf oyster happy hour where you can kick back and take in the coastal vibes! It takes place on weekdays from 3 PM to 6 PM, and you can also get a dozen oysters for $20.

RAPSCALLION

Open every day of the week except Mondays, this is the spot for delicious oysters! The Southern neighborhood bistro Rapscallion offers happy hour Tuesday through Sunday from 4pm to 6pm. There, you’ll find $2 East Coast oysters, along with $5 old-school cocktails and select wines!
