Wow! We were blown away by our dinner at The Village Meridian. This modern Brazilian restaurant opened back in Spring 2021, to rave reviews and we’d been dying to try. We went for dinner and had one of the hands down, best meals we’ve had in Dallas. The food, cocktails and service were all incredible!

MERIDIAN AT THE VILLAGE

Meridian was the first of many restaurants to open at the Village’s new development. You have probably seen our posts on their other new spots like Anise and the Village Golf Club. It’s seriously really impressive about what they’ve built and The Meridian is their star restaurant led by Brazil native, Junior Borges!

THE SPACE

Floor to ceiling windows form the exterior walls of Meridian, with a mid century modern flair. It’s lively but intimate, with the terrazzo tables well spaced apart so you can have your own conversations which also feeling a part of an energetic atmosphere.

MENU

Get ready to make some hard decisions because everything on the menu sounds amazing! Start with the daily bread. Also order the “Beach Cheese” on a stick. It’s cooked with hot honey and served over a mini grill filled with oregano. The cured fluke tartare was heavenly too!

There are four pastas, and it’s hard to hold back from ordering all. We went for the Fusilli Verde served with a pork rag, herbs, chili and Parmesan - so so good!

THE OCTOPUS

And for the larger entrees, their most well known dish is the whole octopus. At $95, it’s expensive, but it’s also 14 oz so great to share. It was one of the best octopus dishes we’ve ever had. In fact, it’s what sold us on the restaurant on the first place, when we saw a photo of it!

DRINKS & HAPPY HOUR

A beautiful wine menu, Brazilian cocktails and one made fresh from garden herbs. We loved the ambience at night but stop by from 4:30-6pm for weekday happy hour with snacks and drinks.

All around, it was truly an A+ dining experience, even the service was impeccable!
