PADILLACS

Every second Saturday of the month, the Padillacs Crew gets together to clean up White Rock Lake. These passionate rowers team up with the shore crew to collect trash that’s out of reach from the shoreline.

VOLUNTEERING DETAILS

At 8:30am, meet the shore crew at 315 East Lawther Drive (parking lot between Mockingbird Lane and the pedestrian bridge) to get ready and receive your supplies! You’ll be on the water for around 2.5 hours, so plan to return to shore by 11:30 am! So not only do you get to enjoy a beautiful and peaceful kayak around the lake, but you also get to give back to the community at the same time!

KAYAKS & CANOES

Feel free to bring your own canoe or kayak, but if you don’t have one, For The Love of the Lake provides 6 canoes and 3 kayaks for free, along with PFDs and paddles!

MORE VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

If kayaking isn’t your thing, there are still plenty of ways to contribute! Join the Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up, a longstanding tradition since 1996, from 8am to noon!

Pick up your supplies via drive-thru at the northeast corner of Buckner and Garland Rd and start picking up trash at White Rock Lake Park, up White Rock Creek, and along the shoreline!
