A meal to remember! We had been hearing a LOT about Edoko Omakase, which opened back in May 2020. After too many recs that slide into our DMs from y’all, we decided to try the special omakase tastings for a special occasion. And wow, it was un-be-lieve-able!

EDOKO OMAKASE

The sister spot to Edoko, a sushi restaurant in Frisco and Richardson, Edoko Omakase is the only one of its kind, hidden in a strip mall in Las Colinas. It’s female-owned, with a sushi chef Keunisk Lee who spent time at Nobu prior. The sleek restaurant brings us a casual but upscale sushi restaurant, featuring a super special omakase offering!

THE MENU

Open for lunch during the week, and dinner service Tuesday-Sunday, you’ll find a menu that begins with appetizers like hamachi Kama, karaage and tempura followed by rice bowls, nigiri, sashimi and maki. The flavors are incredible and presentation, impeccable!

THE OMAKASE

The star of the show though: the omakase tasting! Available in the evening if reserved 24+ hours plus in advance (just make a note when reserving), you’ll be treated to a multi-course dinner prepared by the Chef right in front of you, for $100 pp. We started with three types of oysters, had an array of sashimi and nigiri that was some of the best we’ve ever had and finished with a hot dish and dessert.

The Chef’s creations were heavenly, and we could have watched him for hours, mesmerized by the careful preparation of each dish. It makes for a very fun, romantic and foodie dinner if you are seeking an extra special date night!

DRINKS

PS don’t forget to order their sake! The owner has crafted a beautiful list of offerings, including one sake that you can’t find anywhere else in DFW. Only 100 bottles are produced per year…we tried some ourselves and we can say that it was worth the level of hype set by its rarity!

So if you’re looking for a great lunch spot and work or live in the Las Colinas area, or looking for a food adventure or special occasion spot, look no further than Edoko! We truly can’t say enough good things - the meal was one of the best we’ve had in Dallas.
