Updated February 2023
THE ISLAND SPOT
The Island Spot is family-owned and operated, and has been in DFW since 2010! The goal upon opening was to provide a window into their lives growing up in Spanish Town, Jamaica & dining in the Caribbean. The Island Spot was created with memories made by Mama Joyce who would make dinner every Sunday for the whole family with fresh ingredients from her family’s garden & from the nearby farmers market. Her recipes are the staple for all of The Island Spots dishes!
The OG location is in Carrollton and opened a location in Dallas on Jefferson Blvd in 2016!
THE SPACE
The space is colorful & energizing, making it the perfect Island escape without having to leave the city! Look around and find photographs of stunning spots in Jamaica! And of course, no Caribbean experience is complete without the sounds of Jamaica’s smooth reggae!
THE MENU
The Island Spot has an extensive and creative menu, featuring a wide selection of curry, jerk, and meat dishes as well as small bites like fried plantains, coco bread, patties, coconut shrimp, and more! Wash your food down with one of their delicious beverages, including their refreshing Reggae Fruit Punch, a Jamaican D&G soda, or go big with the Pineapple Paradise!
P.S. Their signature rum bar offers a rum flight & other delicious drinks!
