One of Dallasites’ favorite Japanese spots, Uchi, just opened their sister restaurant, Uchiko at Legacy West! This fiery counterpart to a Dallas staple is known for their smoky and bold flavors made in the “hearth” of the Uchiko kitchen!

UCHIKO
Uchiko means “child of Uchi”, and with Uchi’s Uptown Dallas location being a go-to happy hour spot for an elevated dining experience, we were thrilled to find out they were expanding the brand to the ‘burbs! The open-concept space has simple neutral decor, with a full bar, seating in front of the open kitchen, regular table seating, as well as a private dining space! Plus, enjoy complimentary valet parking!
As per usual, it was some of the best Japanese food we’ve had, and everything was super fresh and flavorful!
THE MENU
Uchiko is set apart by the fact they have a full bar with cocktails as opposed to solely wine, beer, and sake! Plus, with their open fire kitchen called “the hearth” you can enjoy fiery, smoky, and bold meats and veggies, cooked over locally-sourced oak, perfectly paired with a complimentary sauce for each protein!
They also offer a daily, ten-course chef’s choice Omakase tasting for adventurous foodies!
WHAT WE ORDERED
Our waitress was super knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, our favorite being the Hama Chili roll with yellowtail and ponzu!
